Laryngectomee Group Kicks Off 2025 with a Warm and Welcoming Gathering

The first Laryngectomee meeting of 2025 was a wonderful success, bringing together 14 members for a morning of connection and camaraderie. Held for the first time at the Tom Keneally Centre in the Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts, the venue provided a cosy and inviting atmosphere. With its private library setting, comfortable sofas, and welcoming ambiance, it proved to be an ideal space for members to relax and engage in meaningful conversations.

Attendees enjoyed a delightful morning tea, featuring an assortment of finger sandwiches, mini-muffins, pastries, and fresh fruit, accompanied by tea and coffee. The informal gathering allowed members to reconnect, share experiences, and offer support in a warm and friendly environment.

The success of this meeting highlights the importance of social interaction within the Laryngectomee community. Many members expressed their appreciation for the new venue and the opportunity to catch up in a relaxed setting. With such a positive start to the year, we look forward to more gatherings that continue to foster friendship and support.

Here’s to a fantastic 2025 for the Laryngectomee community!
