Laryngectomee Choir Shines at ENT Christmas Party.

The Out of Silence Laryngectomee Choir recently performed at the Newcastle ENT and Newcastle Hearing Clinic staff celebration held at Earp Distilling Co. in Carrington. The choir presented a moving arrangement of Silent Night alongside several original pieces, including one written especially for a Newcastle surgeon. The accompanying video and photographs capture the energy and connection shared on the night.

The choir was established through the initiative of Brian Joyce, a laryngectomee and member of the Association. It has since grown into a collaborative project between the Laryngectomee Association of NSW – Hunter Valley Branch and the University of Newcastle.

The choir warmly welcomes new participants – a great way to have fun with fellow larys and improve mental health wellbeing. Anyone interested in joining or learning more is encouraged to contact the Association via our website contact form or by emailing admin@lansw.org.au.
