Association to Absorb Electrolarynx Battery Price Increase for Members
Earlier this year, we advised members that Master Instruments, the supplier of MB800 batteries for electrolarynx devices, had increased their prices. On our latest order, the cost rose from $38 to $53 per battery.
Our Speech Aids Coordinator, Chris Barrett, proposed that the Association absorb the increase to shield members from the higher cost. After careful consideration, the Committee agreed.
As a result, members will continue to pay $38 per battery, with free postage included. Non-members will pay the full supplier price of $53 per battery, plus postage.
This decision highlights the value of being a member and reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the laryngectomee community in a sustainable and responsible way.
